Butter Cake Ingredients ½ cup unsalted butter ½ cup powdered sugar 2 eggs ½ cup cake flour ½ tsp baking powder ½ tsp vanilla essence Procedures: 1. Beat the room temperature butter for 2 mins with electric mixer or whisk for low speed. 2. Add powdered sugar, beat well until sugar melts. Butter become creamy and fluffy texture. 3. Beat the mixture until the butter becomes pale/off white in color. 4. Add eggs one at a time, and combine well. Continue the process. 5. For the dry ingredients, sift the flour and baking powder, add to the batter mixture in batch and gently mix it well using cut and fold method. Beat for 1 min. 6. Grease the pan with butter or oil. Put baking paper. Pour the batter to the mold/pan. Level and tap it. 7. If you’ll be using an oven or any vessel, pre-heat for 10 mins in medium heat. 8. For oven, bake for 20-30 mins for 170 degree Celsius. 9. For other vessel, place a wire rack inside a cauldron (kaldero). Place cake inside. Cover and cook for 35 to 40 minutes in a low heat. 10. Tooth pick test – if it comes out clean then it’s cooked perfectly. 11. Let it cool before unmolding. 12. Plate and present attractively! Buttercream Frosting Ingredients ½ cup butter ½ cup powdered sugar 2 tbsp milk ½ tsp vanilla essence Procedures: 1. Beat the butter for 5 minutes until peaks will form. 2. Add powdered sugar at a time. 3. Add 1 tbsp milk, combine well. Add vanilla. Then, add the remaining milk. 4. Whisk until it becomes fluffy. Frosting is done perfectly when peaks form. 5.
