Divisibility Rules for 4, 7 and 8
Rule for 7: TAKE THE LAST NUMBER’
You take the last digit of any number, double it then subtract
the result from the rest of the number. If the resulting number
is evenly divisible by 7 then the whole number is divisible by
seven.
Divisibility rule for division by 4
TAKE THE LAST TWO NUMBERS
You take the last two digits of any number, and if that number
is divisible by 4 then the whole number is divisible by 4.
Divisibility rule of division by 8.
TAKE THE LAST THREE NUMBERS
If the number formed by the last three digits of the given
number is divisible by 8, we say that the given number is
divisible by 8.
