The Old Willow Tree
Lilly was a very interesting little girl. She would always find intriguing things around Star City. Her
parents, Roxanne and Jackson, were getting a divorce. Hearing this news devastated Lilly and she ran
away from home and ended up into the forest near the house.
As she ran Lilly bumped into a willow tree and fell to the ground. She pulled on a branch to lift herself up
and to her amazement the tree opened into a tunnel. The tunnel was dark, damp and spooky. It gave
her the shivers but Lilly curiously went in with the torch on her phone on.
“Oh! There might be witches or goblins…… or anything thru here” Lilly thought and giggled to herself. At
that moment she forgot the pain that she was in. As she walked thru the tunnel, Lilly saw a dog. He was
turned into a figure still as stone.
Lilly sobbed as she saw the cold hard form. She threw her arms around the figure and it began to change
color, becoming softer and warmer then little by little he began to move. The dog waged his tail. They
both ran out the tunnel as fast as they could.
It so happens that old willow tree had magic that turned animals to stone until someone shows emotion
to it.
