INTRODUCTION
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM
What effects does unemployment have on the residence of my community?
REASON OF RESEARCH
Reasons for the researcher selecting the topic (The effects of unemployment), is because the

METHOD OF INVESTIGATION
The researcher used the qualitative method of investigation. Qualitative research
concentrates on getting detailed information from one or a small number of persons.
An example of a qualitative tool is a questionnaire. A questionnaire is defined as a research
tool consisting of a series of answers from respondents. It allows the researcher to cover large
amount of work in a short space of time. It can be more comfortable for the respondents as
they don’t have to face the researcher directly and there is a certain level of anonymity.
Additional advantages of conducting a survey via questionnaires.
 It requires little time to be completed.
 It can be done at the convenience of the respondents.
 It guarantees confidentiality since the respondents are not required to state their names

The researcher targeted 20 households from the south eastern location of St. Cuthbert’s
Mission. A total of 20 questionnaires were prepared for distribution to the village. It was
expected that 15 of these will be returned. The researcher therefore decided to choose the
households by a process of random selection which will cover all of the requirements
mentioned above. On the 22nd of October 2020 the lot number of all the houses in the village
was written on a piece of paper. Each slip of paper was folded and placed into a bag. The bag
was then closed and shook vigorously to ensure a through mixture of the numbers. A total of 20
slips were then drawn from the bag one at a time while shaking the bag in the process. The
villagers selected were then supplied with questionnaire on the 23rd of October 2020 in
instances where villagers were not at home, the questionnaires were left in front of their door
with a note which explains what they are required to do.
The researcher went around the south eastern location of the village on the 15th of December
2020 to collect data. The researcher received the expected 15 questionnaires form the total
that was distributed. The Data received was then changed into information and presented on
graphs on the 17th of December 2020.

their community.

most crucial consequence of unemployment. This was clearly shown in figure 2.
Majority of the responses state that the age range of unemployment in their community ranges
from 16-20 year this can be shown at question 14 in the questionnaire.
Recommendation
As the student responsible for the research of this SBA one (1) was required to put forward a
few recommendation solutions to the growing issue of unemployment so my solution to
unemployment are:
1. One (1) think that workers should come together and create a union to fight again
Unemployed, so much that they have the authority to have attachment with higher
authority based on the issue (unemployment), so that there could be possible solution
to the problem.
2. The leader at my community (toushao) should make the community be known on a more wider
scale, that more bigger company and other should be aware at the small scale existence of my
community so could create more employment for unprofessional level, for person who have
education and for those who don’t.
Implementation strategy
One way of going about implementing these strategies is going through the one and
only leader of the community the toushao, now there can be many leader in the
community of specific are, but at the end of the day there is only one leader and that’s
the toushao. Now the toushao should be the one fighting the unemployment issue with
the help of His or her residents, he/she should be the one on the front line to make sure
the her resident get the best treatment because without a job employment and money
pretty will strike
