ACTIVITY
Pre lessons:
1. Teacher writes Holidays in the centre of the board and elicit/ pre-teach
what it means.
2. Elicit any words students can think of to do with holidays: bubble map
Development/Delivery:
1. Teacher present holiday vocabulary .Hold up each flashcard in turn. Do a
mime for each one to help with understanding.
2. Say the word for pupils to repeat in chorus.
3. Hold up each flashcard for pupils to say the word in chorus.
4. Stick the flashcards on the board to make a word map
for holidays.
5.Pupils look up picture in their Student’s Books.p 104
6.Elicit who they can see (the Super Friends and other
children) and where they are (at the beach).
Post lessons:
1. Say, e.g. On holiday I like eating ice cream. I don’t like looking for shells.
2.Write the examples on the board. In groups of four, pupils take turns to
say what they like and don’t like doing on holiday.
3. Elicit from the class and find out the most popular holiday activity.

Pre lessons:
1. Teacher paste picture and writes the holiday activities on the board.

Development/Delivery:
1. Teacher asks pupils to look at Student’s Book p107.
2. Pupils draw a simple survey table. They choose and write four holiday
activities
3. Pupils do a mingling activity, making suggestions
to their classmates.
4.They write the name of the classmates who respond
Good idea.
5. Pupils need to find at least four people for each
activity.
Post lessons:
1. Teacher review new language from the lesson. Make some suggestions
for ending the lesson, e.g. Let’s play a game. Let’s read a story.
2. Elicit pupils responses and do the most popular one with the class.

ACTIVITY
Pre lessons:
1. Teacher review holiday activities. Stick the holiday activity flashcards on
the board.
2. Volunteers come to the board in turn to write the activities under the
appropriate flash
Development/Delivery:
1. Teacher refer to SB p108 .Pupils listen and sing.
2. Pupils look at the pictures in the Student’s Book. Elicit/
pre-teach sea and hand in hand.
3. Play the recording and pupils listen to the song again and
number the pictures in sequence. They compare answers in groups of four.
Elicit and check with the class
4.Teacher displays words in jumbled letter order on the board: sandcastle,
shells, fi sh, music, book, photo, picture, ice cream.
5. Pupils work in pairs to unjumble them and to add
the correct verbs. Write in the exercise book.
Post lessons:
1. Teacher reviews the lesson
2. Pupils Sing the song again from the beginning of the lesson around the
class, adding the new verses from WB Activity 1.

ACTIVITY
Pre lessons:
1. Teacher reviews holiday activities. Write Holiday activities in the middle of
the board with a circle around it. Brainstorm words to create a word map.
Development/Delivery:
1. Teacher asks pupils to choose an illustrated picture from earlier in the
Student’s Book.
2. Each pupils writes a Where is/are … ? question
about the picture and the answer on a strip of paper.
3. Collect the strips of paper. Make four teams. Number pupils in the teams.
4. Call a number at random, e.g. Five. Only the fives in
the teams can answer.
5.Choose a question at random and ask the fives. The
first to answer correctly gets a point for their team.
6. Repeat for all the pupils in the teams.
Post lessons:
1.Tell pupils that this is a memory game.
2.One pupil closes the Student’s Book. The other asks
questions using Where … ? The first pupil answers It’s / They’re in the
(colour) bag.
3. Demonstrate the activity with the class first.
4. Check using open pairs.
