ACTIVITY Pre lessons: 1. Teacher elicits from the pupils the names of the four Super Friends. • Ask pupils to mime their special powers. Development/Delivery: 1. Teacher asks pupils to refer SB p.110-111. listen and read together. Pupils identify the words. 2.Elicit where the Super Friends are at the beginning of the story (at the bottom of a hill) and the title (The top of the hill). Teacher asks pupils to cut out their stickers with the backs attached. Pupils look at the picture carefully, prepare the Unit 9 stickers. Elicit what each one is. 2. Give instructions to pupils, e.g. Put the hat on the sandcastle. Pupils place the hat sticker on the sandcastle in the picture. 3.Continue with other instructions for the other stickers using different prepositions, e.g. Put the boat on the sea. Teacher elicits vocabulary from previous lesson. Spelling drilling. Development/Delivery: 1. Teacher makes group of eight. Pupils stand in a circle. 2.Give each group a ball made of screwed-up paper. 3.Go around the groups saying a word from a vocabulary set. The pupil holding the ball says the word and throws it to another pupil in their group, who says another word in the set. 4. They continue throwing and saying words in the set until teacher come and give them another set. 5. Review as many vocabulary sets from the book as they can. Post lessons: 1.
