Dice Dice Baby
Step 1: You will roll dice in 2 rounds to determine the genome of your person.
You will each roll to determine your gene contribution. Fill out the chart below. Write ‘D’ for dominant trait, and an
‘r’ for a recessive trait.
If rolling dice: EVEN = DOMINANT, odd is recessive.

Step 2: Pair up with another trait chart to create Punnett squares based off of your information. You will write your
genes on the top of the squares, and the provided genes on the side. Complete the Punnett square for each genetic
trait.
Step 3: Use a random number generator (set 1-4) to determine which gene combo will
show through for your child. Circle the winning quadrant for each characteristic. Look
at the example to the right to determine which quadrant each number represents.
Write the winning genotype and the resulting phenotype in the chart provided.
Step 4: Using the information from the chart in Step 3, draw a picture of the created baby below
