Practice Ideas
1) Practice the phonograms and their sounds every day! ese are
the building blocks of all words!
2) Have students sound out each word aloud while writing it.
Underline the multi-letter phonograms.
3) Most of these words have a silent final E in the base word. Write
the base words. Identify the reason the E is needed in each word.
4) Practice adding suffixes to the silent E words using the rule above.
