School Athletics Carnival
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Our annual athletics carnival will be held at The Crest on Wednesday 11th November, 2020.
This is a very important event for the children from Year 1 to Year 6 and our school community.
All students are expected to attend and participate in this eventful day. This will be a COVID-19
safe event. It is a student only event and will comply with legislative law. Year groups will be
running at the same time and competing in various events.
Events are:
 100m race
 200m race



Long jump & High
jump
Venue:
The Crest (70 McClean St, Georges Hall NSW 2198)
Cost:
$8.00
Discus and shot put
Cross Country
Times: Students will need to be at school at 8.45am. The buses will leave at 9am.
Uniform: Students need to wear full sports uniform, with the option of wearing a t-shirt with their
house colour on it. Every student will need to wear their school hat and running shoes.
House Colours:
COOK: YELLOW
BASS: BLUE
BANKS: RED
HUME: GREEN
Lunch: P&C will be running a special lunch order on the day which will need to be ordered prior
to the event. Please see the P&C lunch order note for details. Otherwise, students MUST bring
their recess, lunch and plenty of water to drink. The canteen will not be open, therefore students
WILL NOT be able to purchase any food on the day.
Wet Weather: The carnival will proceed unless there is torrential rain the morning of the carnival.
If in doubt, please send your child prepared to attend. School will operate as normal if the
carnival is postponed. Please do not phone the school.
Notes and money need to be returned to the office NO LATER than Monday, the 9th of
November.
