a. There are different forms of energy.
The sun is the ultimate source of
energy on earth and it gives us solar
energy. Flowing water or any
moving body has mechanical
energy. Chemical energy is present
in all matter. And when electrons
start to flow, it gives electrical
energy. Other forms of energy are
heat, light and sound.
b. Before going to school, I make sure
that I prepare all the things I need.
After taking a bath I eat my
breakfast. Then, I put on my
uniform. Finally, I say goodbye to
my parents for I am ready for
school.

first paragraph?
-What does it tell about the

-What do we call this type of
text?
b. -What does the second
paragraph tell?
-What signal words are used in
sequence/order type of text?
-Give some instances or

text can be used.
3. Abstraction/Generalization
C. AFTER the LESSON
1. Application
Enumeration and sequence/order are
two among the types of informational
texts. Enumeration is simply listing or
naming while sequence/order could be
procedural and gives the step by step
account of an event.
Identify the type of text used in the
following:
1. Conjunctions connect words,
phrases and ideas. Most common
conjunctions are and, but, and or.
Conjunctions and and or are used to
connect two related ideas. But is
used to connect two different or
opposite ideas. _______________________
2. Volcanoes have positive effects,
strange as it seem. Materials
erupted from volcanoes can be
useful to people in several ways.
Volcanic ash, after a period of time
makes the soil more fertile.
Workers use solidified lava in
paving roads and constructing
houses and other buildings. More
building materials come from other
sources, however. Pumice, a porous
and lightweight volcanic rock is
used in industries to grind and
polish stones and metals of various
kinds. Volcanoes also help in
predicting future eruptions.

3. The world has fresh water
because of water cycle. When the
water is heated, it evaporates. Next,
the water rises to form clouds. Then
the wind carries the clouds and
when it reached a cold layer, water
droplets are formed. Finally, rain
falls back to the land and the cycle is
repeated over and over again.
