1. On January 1st of this year (2020), you received a statement from Chase Bank showing that you
have $201.32 in your checking account. Enter this into the register in the box marked “Balance.”
2. On January 6th, your car battery died and you had to buy a new one for $72.97 from Excel Auto
Parts. Write out the check and enter the info into your Check Register. Calculate your new
balance.
3. Your grandma sent you a check for your birthday for $30 on January 7. Your parents gave you
$40 cash. Enter this money into your Check Register and fill out one of deposit slips for your
checking account. Your checking account number is 1010137945721.
4. You pay your portion of the water bill for $13.56 to the company Water Works Inc. on January
8th. Write a check, fill it out in your register and calculate your balance.
5. You spent $24.68 on groceries at Fresh Food on January 8th. You paid for it with your check card
instead of writing a check. Do not fill out a check, but you still need to fill it out on your Check
Register and calculate your new balance.
6. Your paycheck arrives on January 15th! The check is for $145.77. Fill out a deposit slip and write
the deposit on your Checking Register.
