User Manager
Joomla allows you to put people in one of several
user groups. The higher up the ladder you go, the
more permissions you get.
Menus have two functions:
Content is simply the text articles on your site.
They need to be organized into this structure:
Special
Registered
Public
Super Administrator
Administrator
Manager
Publisher
Author
Editor
Registered
Public
Media Manager
• Upload your images
• Create folders to organize your images
Global Configuration
• Take your site offline if you’re not ready
for the whole world to see it
• Choose your site name
• Turn on Search Engine Friendly URLs
They allow people to find
pages on your site.
Display They control the layout of the
pages they link to.
Navigation
Creating these navigation
links is just like sending a parcel. First we create the box,
then we fill it and finally we
tell Joomla where to send it.
1) Create Box

Content Creation Workflow
This system means you have to create a

Components
There are 5 kinds of
Joomla extensions. To
understand them, let’s
compare Joomla to
a car.
Modules are small boxes around the outside
of your site.
Go to Extensions >> Module Manager and
Components sit right in the center of your
site and do all the hard work. Joomla arrives
with 6 components:
