the highest mean value is 4.10, which means majority of respondents of publics knows that SKM is an organization that handles any

set. The highest mode is 4 which means the majority of the respondents of publics knows that SKM is an organization that handles any
establishment and registration of cooperative business and SKM is an organization that provides cooperative advisory and legal advisory services
for cooperative businesses.
Standard deviation is a measure of the average distance between the values of the data in the set and the mean. The lowest standard deviation
is 0.571346464 which indicates that the data points tend to be very close to the mean.The highest standard deviation is 0.9278575. This indicates
that the data points are spread out over a large range of values.
Kurtosis is a measure of the degree of peakedness in the distribution curve, whether peakedness or flatness of the distribution. The normal
distribution of kurtosis is 3, while distribution with higher than 3 kurtosis is a peaked curve considered as leptokurtic and positively skewed.
Meanwhile, distribution with lower than 3 kurtosis is a flatted curve considered as platykurtic and negatively skewed. From the first table, we can
see that all of the kurtosis is above 3 which indicates all the Q1 to Q5 is positively skewed distribution or leptokurtic which the data is more
considered around the mean.

DISCUSSION
Based on the above results, we can see that, relative to cooperative participants, the level of understanding of the position of SKM (Suruhanjaya
Komunikasi Malaysia)
among the public is still low. This is because the public knows only that the task of SKM is to create cooperative
enterprises and to offer cooperative advisory and legal advisory services to cooperative enterprises, but not the other role of SKM, such as the
service of auditing and the service of tribunals. They are also, in truth, puzzled and have no comprehension that SKM and SSM are two separate
entities with separate functions. This obviously suggests that someone who is already a member of the cooperative just knows the position of
SKM.
Other than that, there is also evidence in this analysis that advertisement is one of the reasons for increasing public and cooperative members'
consciousness. This is because the public believes that Facebook and Instagram are the perfect way to boost public awareness about a company
with the highest average of 4.06 and cooperative participants believe that SKM wants to communicate more of the advantages of cooperative
enterprise in order to make people aware of SKM with the highest average of 4.2. However, the majority of members of the public and
cooperatives have not yet followed SKM's Facebook and Instagram. Indeed, social media has now crept into the boardrooms of business
organizations just like the internet it has transformed the selling and buying processes and it has proven to be just as effective as or even more
effective than traditional marketing (Agwu, 2015).
In addition, the result also shows that public relations are also one of the reasons for raising consciousness among members of the public and
cooperatives. Thus, both public and cooperative members believe that participating in all of the services coordinated by SKM would increase
consciousness among public and cooperative members of the position of SKM, with the highest average of 4 and 3.9, respectively, of both public
and cooperative members. This demonstrates that it is necessary for the public and cooperative member to coordinate public relations campaign
because according to (Fill, 2002) rather than increasing awareness, communication and partnership public relations management to build
goodwill and shared understanding between a company and its audience to draw future customers.
Overall, the key objective of this analysis is to investigate the degree of understanding among the public and cooperative participants of the role of
SKM and to identify ways to raise awareness of the role played by SKM in this research. As we can see, the first objective degree of knowledge
about the position of SKM among cooperative participants is higher than that of the public. In addition, internet marketing of more ads on the
advantages of cooperative business and the coordination of more public relations programs is the second goal of the best element to raise the
level of recognition among public and cooperative participants.
RECOMMANDATION
⮚ Increase followers in Facebook and Instagram.
Increase social media followers to remain linked with the public and cooperative members to increase corporate visibility by offering a lot
of knowledge about the role of SKM in social media. SKM should make a small flyer to circulate to the members of the cooperative and to
the public to make them acknowledge that SKM has its own social media site in Negeri Sembilan. Then promote the social media and
kindly invite them to follow Facebook and Instagram SKM Negeri Sembilan official page.
⮚ Improvise social media of SKM Negeri Sembilan.
SKM needs to redesign more content to share on Facebook and Instagram to make the public know the role of SKM in order to attract
more followers. Other than that, video sharing is also important because most of the public love to watch video on social media. By
creating a short video related to the profit of cooperative company and other information material as a reference for cooperative
participants, SKM can also improvise their content on social media.
⮚ Organize more public relation programs with public and cooperative members.
Regarding the current pandemic of Covid-19 it is hard for an organization to organize programs with crowded people. Thus, my suggestion
is SKM can organize an online program maybe at any platform such as google meet, zoom or doing live at the social media in Facebook
and Instagram. A simulated conference will also save a lot of costs instead of doing a real life event.
CONCLUSION
In a nutshell, this study seeks to clarify the degree of understanding among the public and cooperative participants of the
position of SKM. In order to reach out to the public and even other cooperative participants, this study indicates that
recognition is necessary for an association. This is because the hope of an entity to get its message out is behind the urge
for visibility to attract more individuals. The message for an agency may be to inspire individuals to take constructive steps
to benefit a cause (Luthor, 2019).
In addition, this research also reveals that the greatest factor in raising visibility is publicity and public relations.
Nevertheless, the present condition of the Covid-19 pandemic makes it impossible for an organization to raise face-toface visibility. The easiest way to do so is to use social media networks, because technology is the best choice to deliver
information around the globe through this modern phenomenon. SKM will need to collaborate more closely with other
organizations, colleges, and schools to meet more people to increase awareness about SKM.
From the analysis that was carried out, the results fulfilled the research purpose and the research issue. Finally, according
to (Mill, 2016)"Spend the dollars or time allotted to the public awareness campaign on ads, the benefits will speak for
themselves.
SIGNIFICANT
⮚ To The Organization
This study has shown that awareness on the role of SKM is important in order to make both public and cooperative members
stay connected with the organization. But despite that in this study result that awareness of the public toward SKM is still low
compared to cooperative members. Therefore, this organization should take further action in order to improve awareness on
the role of SKM among the public.
⮚ To Employees
This study also benefits all employees in this organization to give them an open mind to realize that more improvement they
need to do in order to help the organization increase awareness among public and cooperative members. This study also
indicates social media is the best platform to increase awareness, thus the employee can lend their help for the organization
that they work by promoting Social media of SKM Negeri Sembilan to anyone who they know.
⮚ To University
This study also benefits the university because most of the respondents from public and cooperative members are above 30
years old, which university can give suggestions for all students to join any cooperative business or make any collaboration
with SKM to improve awareness on the role of SKM among students and young age. Hence, this will benefit the students in
the future because they already have information if they want to establish cooperative business.
SELF REFLECTION
My internship at Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM) has been such a growing experience for me. This is my first time
experiencing working in an office working environment. At first it is hard for me to get along with office working experience, but I am
so grateful that I am surrounded with SKM staffs that are really supportive and teach me how to do any task given successfully.
Internship at Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM) giving me an opportunity to be placed at four departments in this organization.
Even though I am not placed in a related department with the course that I am studying, which is Business Administration (Finance), I
have learned lots of new things. First in the registration and statutory department I can see the flow of managing new registration of
cooperative business and laws that related to cooperative business. Second, I had an opportunity in the promotion department to join
one of the programs as a MC. This is the best experience that I had to be with the public and improved my communication skills.
Then I had another experience in the Audit department, which I am exploring the process of auditing for cooperative business from
checking the payment Boucher, other accounts until the end of the auditing process to be key in in the system. Lastly I am being
placed at the Admin department, where I get to learn how to manage all letters from other cooperative businesses to file in correctly.
Overall I am thankful to my Supervisor Encik Abdul Latib Bin Talib for giving me an opportunity to explore my internship in many
departments. I think I will not get this opportunity to be placed at more than one department in a short period of time and this
experience really benefits me in the future with professional insight.
