AUTOMOTIVE SERVICING NC II

Introduction
If you were driving in a deserted road and your vehicle stopped for unknown reasons, you
would not panic if you knew how to do some troubleshooting, and you have the basic
equipment with you.
Having the basic knowledge of auto servicing will not only serve you in time of emergency but
It can be a source of income, too
This course, Automotive technology will give you the principles and processes in automotive
servicing and the learning experience which you can apply in actual work situations. You will
learn how to operate the basic tools and equipment and observe the safety precautions in
assembling and dis assembling the automotive engine.
Mechanics inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain vehicles. However, there is much more
to the job than meets the eye. Dedication and fascination for engines are musts for aspiring
mechanics. Those who are serious about creating a strong career must turn to in depth
training or education and apprenticeship in order to work in the competitive automotive field.
Automotive Servicing now focused more on the competence that have employable skills. This is to
cater the immediate needs of service shop centers and some industries. Objectives of the automotive
technology are to provide students what the basic principles of all automotive components and
systems. This includes how they are constructed, how they operate, what troubles might develop and
possible cause for this trouble. These introduce the students to the way automotive manufactures,
instructors and technicians recommend that diagnosis and service of procedures be performed. And
also made known of the newest car technologies and inventions that make the automotive car
industry at its best. The graduates of this course are more competent because they have am full time
to focus on men skill development in the automotive technology.

The method of developing skills and imparting knowledge to students is through
lectures, class discussion, demonstration, re-demonstration of the core competencies
written in the training regulation of the automotive servicing. Demonstration and redemonstration are given more emphasis to develop the competencies they need for
employment. The core competencies found in the training regulation of the said
program are the newly migrated Automotive Servicing NC II has several activities that
need more exposures are as follows:

3. Test and repair wiring/lighting system.
4. Service starting system.
