Данный сборник устных тем предназначен для учащихся средних об
щеобразовательных школ и школ с углубленным изучением английского язы
ка, а также для всех изучающих английский язык.
В пособии рассмотрены такие темы, как “My Family and I”, “My Friend”,
“School Life”, “Hobbies”, “Travelling”, “Moscow”, “St. Petersburg”, “London” и др.
Материал книги направлен на развитие таких видов речевой деятельно
сти, как разговор, чтение, письмо, понимание речи на слух.
Темы представлены в виде текстов рассказов, писем и диалогов. Тексты
рассказы и письма написаны от лица российских детей и их англоговорящих
сверстников, что позволяет учащимся познакомиться с разными точками зре
ния на ту или иную тему. Новые слова даны в словарике, который есть в каж
дом уроке. Разговорные выражения отрабатываются в живых, интересных
диалогах. Тексты и диалоги сопровождаются вопросами и упражнениями на
понимание содержания и использование новой лексики.
Пособие предполагает работу с аудио материалом по темам уроков. Успеш
ное развитие понимания речи на слух и совершенствование произношения
возможно с помощью прослушивания текстов и диалогов каждого урока.
Отвечая на вопросы после прочтения или прослушивания текста, уча
щиеся привыкают к работе в режиме обсуждения полученной информации.
Тексты рассказы и диалоги помогают школьникам при написании сочинений
и составлении устного ответа на заданную тему. Учителя могут использовать
записанные на диск тексты и диалоги в качестве материала для аудирования.

MY FAMILY AND I
1.1. Listen to a story about a girl. Try to write a story about yourself and your family. You can call it “About Myself and My Family”.
Let me introduce myself. I’m Ann Smirnova. Ann is my first
name. Smirnova is my surname. I am twelve years old. I was born in
Smolensk on the 27th of February, 1996. I am a pupil. I go to school.
I am in the 6th form. I am fond of art. I’d like to be a painter. Art is
my favourite lesson. I started painting when I was 5. First my father
taught me drawing. Then I joined the Art school. Now I take paint
ing lessons four times a week. Every time my parents and I travel,
we visit different museums. We enjoy looking at wonderful paint
ings. When we go to the country I always paint very beautiful land
scapes.
I want to tell you about my family. My family is small. We are a
family of three: my mother, my father and me. My parents have
been married for fourteen years. They are real friends. Their names
are Olga and Victor. My parents are doctors. They are very experi
enced doctors. They are very busy, but they like their job very much.
My parents are fond of travelling. We always travel together. I love
my parents.

Alice and her Family
This is Alice. She is from Germany. Alice lives with her family
and goes to school in Berlin.
Alice’s family is rather large. There are six of them: Alice, her
two brothers, a sister and their parents.
Alice is a girl of eleven. She has long brown hair and green
eyes. Alice is neither tall nor short. She is always neat.
Her friends like her because she is very honest, kind and
friendly. Alice is very helpful. Her brothers and sister are younger
than her. She always looks after them. Now her sister is six and

Alice teaches her to read and write. She wants to become a teacher.
It’s her dream. Alice has a hobby. She is fond of reading. Alice

My Sister
