Unit 3 Energy Plan Group Project This rubric will be used to guide you in the creation of your energy plan. Please ensure that you meet all requirements listed below to receive the highest grade possible. Points will be deducted for lack of participation, both in class and on the final assessment. DUE DATE: January 19th, 2021 Score Total: 50 Points As American society approaches its natural limits involving limited resources, energy has become one of the most important topics of our time. If we are to achieve sustainability, we will need to re-vision the future and change our energy policies and practices. This project is an opportunity for you to be a part of that change. The goal is to research a question of interest regarding energy sustainability. From this, you can generate an energy plan that could be used in your city/state. Instructions: 1. Once placed in your groups, use the preassigned link for the powerpoint given to you by the teacher. This will be the slideshow you edit for your presentation. DO NOT MAKE A NEW ONE. 2. Students must use allotted time in class to work together in breakout groups to generate an energy plan. 3. Students should use the chat feature on the slides to communicate with each other if working together outside of class. 4. Answer the following questions in your powerpoint to support your plan. 1. How does your region use the energy source to generate power? 2. In what specific city/town/community is the project used? 3. What are the positive and negative factors to the project in your region? 4. How efficient would the specific energy you chose be in your region? 5. What is the cost of the project?
