Seminar in Transformational Leadership and Teaching: Part I Candidate Name: Date of Submission: Individual Reflection: Family Engagement Due by the end of Week 4 Overview In order to foster growth and get a full understanding of the work you and your team have completed, you will write a short reflection on the learning process. You will answer a series of questions and evaluate your own contributions to the group project as well as the contributions of each of your teammates. Instructions - Individual Reflection In a 1-2 page double-spaced reflection starting on page two below, answer the following questions: ● How did working as a team enhance your learning about family engagement? Be sure to provide explicit evidence of your own contribution to the team activity as well as explicit evidence of your team members' contributions to the team activity. ● In which ways did this team activity have the largest impact on your classroom, students, and teaching practice? ● What was challenging about this activity? What questions do you still have related to the topic of family engagement? ● In what ways did your team work together effectively? In what ways could your team work even more effectively on the next team activity? Instructions - Team Accountability To help ensure that everyone has contributed appropriately, imagine that you have 100 points to distribute amongst your team members. Consider whether team members contributed meaningfully to team discussions, completed their work on time, completed their work in a quality manner, and demonstrated a cooperative and supportive attitude. Overall, did this person contribute significantly to the success of the assessment? List yourself and your team members in the table along with the distribution of points and add or delete rows as necessary. You can use the third column to provide comments to justify your point distribution. For example, if there are three people in your team, including yourself, you must figure out how to divide the points by three. If all team members participated equally, each member would be assigned 33.3 points (33.3 x 3 = 99.9).
