1.I believe the image that is the most striking is the image of the day being one full color and the
rareness of it, it is beautiful and very rare this is supported in the last two sentences of the first
page “The blue immersion of horizon’s, the sea taking the sky liner”. The mood and feeling the
images create are happiness and relaxation because it is so beautiful and uncommon.
2.The umbrella symbolizes the ancient flower in the poem, because the images that she is
seeing are making her happy and it is beautiful so i put together that the umbrella would also
represent beauty in her mind during that time.
3.I believe the meaning of the poem is about an immigrant family that is in a very happy place,
meaning that they are comfortable, and life is going good.
