You can group in sequences the infotypes belonging to Organizational Management in order to facilitate the administration of Organizational Management objects. You can create different actions with all the data needed for Creating an Organizational Unit/Position/Task/Work center. Other actions can reflect the infotypes needed when Changing the existing data. The same steps can be followed in order to do actions for Training and Event Management (Create external instructor) or for Talent Administration (Create qualification) Pre-configuration steps Make a list with all the Actions that you need and the infotypes and their subtypes that you want to include in each action. Furthermore, you can specify the Plan version and the Planning status for the infotypes that you want to manage. Note: Follow the SAP recommendation for the Customer specific Action number range. SAP Configuration steps In order to be able to run the Organizational Management Action you need to follow certain configuration steps. SPRO: Personnel Management -> Organizational Management-> Basic Settings-> Maintain Personnel Actions Maintain Personnel Actions In this configuration step you are given action templates by SAP. You can study them in order to get ideas about what can be done in the system. Step 1: To begin with, select one Action line and copy it This way you will not start from zero with your own action. However, the name of the action disappears. Write it again Step 7: Save your entries and add your customizing to the Change request. Step 8: Choose the newly created action and select Actions (individual maintenance) Step 9: On the screen you can see the copied infotypes and subtypes. You can modify these according to your needs (you already made the list of infotypes and subtypes in the Pre-configuration steps.) In our case, the standard action has more infotypes than we need. We delete the ones that are unnecessary. And make additional changes if needed. Save the action.
