Speaking 2 Task
Write a speech about a different country’s culture and customs.
You will need:
An introduction - use the model on page 94. Please remember not to explain about
your customs in the introduction, only list them.
3 body paragraphs - remember to have a sequencing word at the beginning of each
paragraph (first, next, second, last….)
Explain what the custom is and why they do that. What happens if you do not do
that? Explain any words that are not common knowledge.
For example: In Canada a famous food is poutine. Poutine is a dish that contains
french fries topped with cheese and gravy.
Any person should be able to listen to your speech and understand.
End your speech with a nice goodbye.
