• Kanye Omari West was born on June 8, 1977,
in Atlanta, Georgia. After his parents divorced
when he was three years old he moved with
his mother to Chicago, Illinois. His father, Ray
West, is a former Black Panther and was one
of the first black photojournalists at The
Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Early Career
• Kanye West began his early production career in the
mid-1990s, creating beats primarily for burgeoning
local artists, eventually developing a style that involved
speeding up vocal samples from classic soul records. ...
West spent much of the late 1990s producing records
for a number of well-known artists and music groups.
For example, Jay-Z and Wu-Tang Clan. He shaped our
previous decades with is unique love for sampling
literally anything and being extremely creative with it.
The industry would definitely not be the same without

• 1.Creativity-No artist(except David Bowie)can jump from genres to genres
and make it sound amazing like Kanye, when most artists try this they
either fail miserably or sound pretentious but Kanye was always extremely
creative with his samples, he even sampled artists like Daft Punk and he
made his song even better than the original Daft Punk song. He made the
modern era of hiphop, without him artists like Travis Scott,Kid Cudi,Pusha
T,Kendrick Lamar or even Mac Miller would not exist. It is always hard to
pinpoint any one genre in each Kanye song because of his creative
versatility.

always be better than most artists/producers. He once took 48 days to
compose a song from his diamond album, Graduation. When he was
making his album MBDTF he stayed in Hawaii for 3 years and he was
actually able to make a modern masterpiece of this modern age.
• 3. Financial skills-While other rappers were busy buying chains and
diamonds/gold, Kanye took his time to create his own brand and also
invested in real estate and also made his own cloathing partnership with
adiddas(yeezy).He always knew where to spend money and where not to.

Vulnerability and Mental Health
While other artists were portraying happiness and pride
through their music all the time, Kanye gradually normalized
opening up about mental health in the modern industry. He
was always bipolar with multiple personality which he always
described as his “superpower”. He was proud to be vulnerable
because he is a human at the end of the day. Listening to his
albums chronologically is like seeing a man go through
extreme character development in an epic novel. From an
arrogant, proud and selfish young entrepreneur who just got
rich to a humble, self depricating man going through a
depressing midlife crisis. His catharsis is always wrongly
assumed as offensive by the media because of his political
beliefs.
