Client: Lewis Sida, UK
Main project features:

flee into Bangladesh since August of 2017, making it one of the
largest refugee emergencies. Added to previous waves of
people seeking sanctuary there are now some 858,898 people

the crisis one of bigger humanitarian emergencies of the
decade, prompting UNHCR to declare it level 3. The role of
UNHCR in the Rohingya crisis has not been its traditional one.
UNHCR’s operational role to mitigate the crisis has got priority
in its intervention. Followed by the role of UNHCR as a remedy
for Rohingya response, dRi designed a forward looking
prospective to evaluate the UNHCR’s responses to the
Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. The qualitative research has
been conducted to understand the overall evaluation. The main

UNHCR is providing a timely and effective response to the
refugee crisis unfolding in Bangladesh including identifying the
enabling and constraining factors that are shaping the
responses of the organization in this particular case..
