You are require to write one article that can use to answer both (a) and (b). Your answer must include (but not limited to) Washington Accord, BEM, IEM, EAC and Registration of Engineers Act (REA) 1967 (Amendment 2015). (a) Explain the key process and main elements of route to professional engineer using corporate membership of IEM as well as challenges that candidate may faces. [8 marks] (b) Recommend various ways to overcome such challenges, which are listed in part (a) above. [7 marks] QUESTION 2 [15 MARKS] “The IEM Regulations on Professional Conduct speaks against active self-promotion and advertisement. In what ways would such restraint enhance the stature of engineers as professionals? More importantly, given the advent of the information technology age, how would any violation of the IEM Regulations on Professional Conduct be detected and dealt with?” Using the scenario given above as example, you are require to write one article that can use to answer both (a) and (b) as following.
