Our goal at Somerset Academy Key is to continue student learning and engagement through innovative and exciting virtual lessons. As we look ahead to transition into our virtual school experience, please keep in mind that we will still follow the Broward County Public School Calendar – the only exception being early release days. There will be no schedule difference on early release days. The official start date for virtual learning will be Wednesday, March 18, 2020 (B day). Please see below quick tips and reminders: Students will log into their virtual class by their class schedule. Use the teacher link that can be found at www.somersetkey.com and click on Coronavirus, select classroom links, enter teachers last name and select Somerset Academy Key Charter High School (middle AND high school students need to select this option). Follow the on-screen prompts to enter your virtual classroom. Students must log in to each of their teachers classrooms following the time schedule provided. (Jones’ students should search Ms. Gross & Clintons’ should search Mr. Byndloss) Students must wear their Somerset Academy Key polo or Spirit shirt during virtual classes. Teachers will begin on Wednesday, March 18th (B day) and Thursday, March 19th (A day) by taking attendance and assessing any virtual related issues or potential issues. 1 st period students will begin the process of gathering digital resources with their teachers on Thursday, March 19th. Virtual classes will resume after Spring Break on March 30th if necessary. Virtual Schedules will be emailed to all parents, posted to social media and the schools website. For questions regarding specific coursework or class information, please email the scheduled teacher for the class you are inquiring about.
