Foreshadowing Activity What is Yet to Happen? Student Directions: You will be creating a one page response to the story identifying the use of foreshadowing by the author. Follow the steps below to complete the assignment. Step 1: Complete the organizer below. Choose two quotes that show foreshadowing and write them down. Step 2: Explain how the quotes hint at what could happen or would happen later in the story. Step 3: On a piece of unlined paper, title the page “What Is Yet to Happen?” -Explain what the word foreshadow means. -Write the word “Quote” and write the quote and page number that hints at the foreshadowing. -Draw an arrow and write the explanation of what each quote foreshadows later in the story. -Draw and color a picture of a major scene from the story.
