Plate Boundaries Activity Use your notes and knowledge of deformations along plate boundaries to complete this activity. You will use them along with the world map Showing the plate boundaries. The arrows near each numbered boundary will show the direction of plate movement. You will need to create a table (see below) to turn in for your grade. The table will need to include the following information: Plate Boundary number (there are 7), the type of boundary (divergent, convergent, or transform fault), the type of crust involved for convergent boundaries: C to C, C to 0, or Oto 0), and what happened (deformation) at the boundary. I will demonstrate with two examples: A and B Number A B 1 Boundary Type Convergent Convergent Crust Type (convergent) Oto 0 Cto C Deformation - what happens at the boundary Trench with volcanic island arc Mountains transform O to C Earthquake 2 Divergent O to O New crust is created 3 Divergent C to C 4 Convergent O to O 5 Convergent O to C Mountains 6 Divergent O to O Oceanic trench 7 Divergent O to O volcanic island Mountains Trench with magma All that needs to be turned into me is the table with your seven boundaries.
