The Energy business manages the marketing and sales of all Sasol’s oil, gas and electricity products
in Southern Africa. In addition, our mandate is to oversee the growth of Sasol’s direct liquid fuels
marketing presence, with a strong bias toward retail outlets in Southern Africa.
Internationally, we are responsible for Sasol’s gas-to-liquid (GTL) business ventures based on our
proprietary technology, creating higher-value products.

Purpose of the Job/ Role Intent
The purpose of this job is to utilise and optimise of the appropriate planning technology to rationalise
(with business intelligence) the short term demand plans (converting S&OP demand plan into
executable short term demand plan). This position also then engages with the appropriate
stakeholders for decision making purposes (on both execution and tactical levels), in order to meet
the customer demand.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience required

EDUCATION:
The incumbent should have a relevant B degree (Engineering, Commercial or Science).
EXPERIENCE: 5-8 years’ experience within Sasol or hydrocarbon industry. Prior experience with
statistical models preferable

1.) Translate S&OP monthly demand plan into executable week demand forecast.
2.) Cross-functional collaboration within the SBU to balance short term market requirement with
supply resources taking into account availability and efficiency
3.) Perform benchmark studies and identify best practises
4.) Forecast Accuracy

6) Collaborate across all market segments, (all products and modes of transport) with marketers on
short term demand for customers
