Mechanical Design Engineer
Position Summary
Designs and develops of complex and detailed layouts. Works from preliminary schematics, part lists and
basic descriptions. Transforms initial rough product designs using computer-aided design (CAD) into
working documents (3D and 2D). Reviews engineering drawing and designs to ensure adherence to
established specifications and standards. Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing
operation or quality of product
Duties & Responsibilities
• Draft detailed drawings and compose master layout of design components, circuitry, packaging, and
initial parts lists
• Examine and work with others on the master layout for electrical and mechanical accuracy
• Work with manufacturing to use and stay current with the latest DFM
• Monitor the industry and stay abreast of the latest CAD technologies, standards e.g. IPC, tools,
procedures, and any training needed
• Transform mechanical design into mold development.
Skills and Experience Required
• Working Experiences in related field
• Proficiency in English both oral and written
• Proficiency with CAD, SolidWorks and CREO
• Highly motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Have knowledge of industrial process of metal, plastic, and rubber material
• Basic knowledge on electronic design
Education
• Diploma/associate degree on Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
