Experiment Report
Question:
Topic for research and experimentation. What would you like to find out about this
topic? This should be written as a question.
Hypothesis:
Research your topic on-line. Predict the outcome to your question. Write an If/Then
statement. Ex: If I (do this)……., then (this will be the outcome). Always make sure your
Hypothesis is measurable (weight, period of time, etc).
Procedures:
List the step by step procedures of the experiment. This should be a numbered list.
Remember I should be able to follow your procedures and come to the same conclusion.
Collect data:
Record the results of your experiment. Remember to examine this data using your five
senses, then note your observations. NOTE: the data should also be measurable.
Conclusion:
Evaluate your data and answer the following question from your experiment: This should
be written in paragraph form.
a. Was your hypothesis correct? If not, how would you change your experiment?
b. Could the method be improved so that it would have better results?
c. How can the information or process apply to personal life or experiences? This would
answer the questions: "What does it all mean?" or "So what?"
