Don’t throw small cut pieces- Use them in dark corners, behind curtains Attractive Toxic Sugar Bait (ATSB) 2% Boric acid and Gauva Juice Attractive Toxic sugar bait. • Boric acid powder, I litre Gauva Juice 1-1.25 litre bottle- 4-5 Nos • Take 20 gms of Boric acid powder (three teaspoon – 5ml=7Gms) and dissolve in 200ml warm water (5060oC) • Pour the solution in 1-1.25 litre bottle • Add Gauva Juice to make 1 Litre • Take 4-5 one or half litre plastic bottles, cut a circular hole (3-4 Cms Diameter) 2-3 Cms below the neck of the bottle. • Pour 200-250 ml of ATSB in each bottle, • Place them at resting places of mosquito in and around your house. (In corridors, utility channels, dark poorly ventilated corners, balconies etc). • Shake them once every day. They will last for 2-3 weeks. • After 2-3 weeks discard them by spraying/splashing over green vegetation or outside perimeters How to treat water collection you cannot drain or dry? Use 20ml of following insecticide for 1 sq metre of water collection • Oil balls (saw dust ball soaked in mixture of crude oil) Or • 1% Temephos (5ml Temephos in 10 litres of water). 5 ml of this solution is sufficient for 1sq mtr surface water collection Or • Home made natural oil mixture of Karanja oil (70%) and Neem oil (30%) Or Use 10 ml kerosene for 1 sq. mtr. water surface area. Repeat after one week. For Large water bodies contact GHMC through My GHMC App How to treat water collection naturally? • Home made natural oil mixture of Karanja oil (70%) and Neem oil (30%). Use 20ml of following insecticide for 1 sq metre of water collection. Repeat after one week. • Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (Bti), available as Natural Mosquito Dunks on online sites. Use ¼ of the Dunk in small pools. It is effective for 30 days. Repeat after 30 days. • For ponds and natural lakes use Gambusia fish.
