You can answer some or all of them. If you feel passionate or interested in something you read, talk about it in your post. Feel free to pose questions to other students. In Lies My Teacher Told Me was the information about Thanksgiving new and/or shocking to you? Why? Why is the truth about our past and history important in today’s society? Mary Rowlandson: “Narrative of the Captivity and Restoration of Mrs. Mary Rowlandson” (Selection) Ann Bradstreet Poetry and “Meditations” (p.265-266, 267-269, 272-281) Write a two paragraph reflection (4-5 quality sentences per paragraph) answering the questions below. This is NOT done on Google Classroom. This will need to be handed in on the due date. 1st paragraph: What role does religion play in the life of Puritans like Ann Bradstreet and Mary Rowlandson? Think about their ideas of predestination in their daily lives, their views of this world vs eternity, etc. Use specific examples from the text in your explanation. 2nd paragraph: What specific verses in Bradstreet’s poetry stood out to you or shocked you and why? What stood out to you about Rowlandson’s account and why?
