Dear Parent/Guardian:
CONGRATULATIONS!
The UCLA Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) congratulates you for your child being provisionally selected to
participate in our college preparatory program. EAOP is California’s largest and most successful college preparatory program.
EAOP staff, along with your school’s counselors and teachers, have identified your child because (s)he is on-track to being
eligible and admissible to the University of California. Through academic enrichment programs, on-going academic advising,
and SAT test preparation, we believe that we can help your child continue to develop academically and prepare for admission to
any university that your child wishes to attend.
To learn more about our program and what we can offer your child, please make plans to attend our annual “EAOP + You:
College Bound Symposium” on, Sunday, March 01, 2020, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Courtesy parking permits will be
provided the day of the event but not before 8:00am so please plan accordingly. (Failing to properly display or pick-up your
courtesy parking permit may result in families getting a parking citation.) Registration will begin at 8:15 am and the program
will begin promptly at 9:00am. A continental breakfast will be served. Some walking will be required, so we recommend that
you wear comfortable walking shoes.
Your day will consist of workshops that will include the following topics: four systems of higher education, college admission
requirements (A-G courses, GPA, and exams), and how to pay for a college education. The workshops are designed to help
parents and students create an academic plan, learn tools and strategies to become academically competitive for college
admission.

Details regarding parking and directions will be sent to those that register. Required forms will also be sent to students that
register. Complete the forms and BRING THEM TO THE CONFERENCE on MARCH 01st. Please limit your family’s
attendance to no more than 4 people. Space to participate in the workshops is limited, so please RSVP today! If you have any
questions, please feel free to contact our EAOP office at (310) 794-4074.
Additionally, you should have already received the required program entry forms (application, Parent Authorization Form and
UC Waiver) to be a part of EAOP. If you have not received and returned these forms to EAOP, we will have them available the
day of the conference. We must have these forms on file for your child to be a participant in EAOP. They are a requirement for
the program. We sincerely hope that you will take full advantage of the services and educational opportunities offered by

¡FELICITACIONES!
El Programa de Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) de UCLA le felicitamos por su hijo/a que fue elegido/a
provisionalmente para participar en nuestro programa preparatorio universitario. EAOP es el programa más grande y el de más
éxito del estado de California. El personal de EAOP junto con los consejeros y los maestros de la escuela preparatoria de su
hijo/a han identificado a su hijo/a porque él/ella está en camino para hacer elegible y admisible a la Universidad de California.
Creemos que podemos ayudar a su hijo/a continuar a desarrollar académicamente y prepararlo/la para admisión a cualquier
Universidad que quiera asistir su hijo/a con programas de enriquecimiento, aconsejándolo/la académicamente, y preparación del
SAT.
Para aprender más sobre el programa y lo que podemos ofrecer a su hijo/a, por favor planea asistir a nuestra conferencia anual
“EAOP + You: College Bound Symposium” el, domingo, 01 de marzo, desde las 9:00 am hasta la 1:00 pm. Permisos
gratuitos para estacionamiento serán proveídos el día del evento, pero no antes de las 8:00am. (No mostrar correctamente o no
obtener el permiso de estacionamiento puede resultar en una multa.) La inscripción empezará a las 8:15 de la mañana y el
programa empezará a las 9:00am en punto. Un desayuno continental será servido. Padres y estudiantes tendrán que caminar de
un lugar a otro y por eso recomendamos que usen zapatos cómodos.
Su día consistirá de talleres que van incluir los siguientes temas: los cuatro sistemas de educación superior en California, los
requisitos de admisión universitarios (cursos de A-G, el promedio (GPA), y exámenes), y como pagar para una educación
universitaria. Los talleres son diseñados para ayudarlo/a a crear un plan académico y aprender estrategias para cómo
prepararse para ser competitivo académicamente para las universidades.

Detalles refiriendo al estacionamiento, sitio de registración y direcciones serán mandados a los que se registran. Los
formularios necesarios serán proveídos después de que los estudiantes se registren. Complete estos formularios y TRAIGOLOS
A LA CONFERENCIA el 01 de MARZO. Favor de limitar a 4 personas de su familia. ¡El espacio para participar en los
talleres es limitado, así que favor de responder hoy! Si tiene preguntas, por favor llame a nuestra oficina de EAOP a (310) 7944074.
Adicionalmente, Ud. tuvo que haber recibido el paquete que consiste de la aplicación, Autorización de Padre, y UC Waiver. Si
no ha recibido o entregado estas formas a EAOP, los tendremos el día de la conferencia. Para que su hijo/a sea parte del
programa necesita entregar el paquete completado y firmado. Son requisitos del programa. Sinceramente esperamos que tomen
ventaja de los servicios y oportunidades educacionales ofrecidos por EAOP. Sabemos que beneficiará muchísimo.
