Terms related to Internet:

Internet is a collection of networks
connected to each other through
various communication channels over
the whole world.

World Wide Web (WWW) It is a
worldwide collection of web pages and
web is one of the common services on the
internet.

E-mail – Electronic Mail ……The
electronic sending of messages to
anyone anywhere in the world as long
as they have an email address. Email
messages can contain attachments like
a photograph, song, documents etc

E-Commerce – Electronic Commerce
is the buying and selling of goods and
services electronically on the internet.
E-Learning – Electronic Learning
this is learning conducted
electronically and usually over the
Internet.

downloading of files between
computers on the internet.

HomePage: is the main or index page
of a web site.
Video Conferencing : is a live, visual connection between two or more people in different
locations, for the purpose of communication. You can see and hear the other person in
real-time. Both people will need a laptop, computer, or phone with a camera(webcam),
Internet Connection and video conferencing software such as Skype.
