February 3, 2016 Professor Levin, Management Skills 302:04 Thursdays 2:30-5:20 Case #2: Henry Tam and the MGI Team There are multiple conflicts in this case. Many stem from the differences between the creative and business oriented people. There is no clear hierarchy or conflict resolution and the whole group seems to be unsure of what they want to accomplish. The MGI team keeps rethinking what they want and everyone has a different vision of where they want the company to go. The meetings last too long, due and there is no clear agenda for the meetings. The MGI team can solve these conflicts by giving everyone a clear goal of what they need to accomplish based on their strengths. That way, everyone is utilized to their fullest and no one is sitting around not doing anything. Everyone needs to have the same vision and goals for the company, they can’t work together if everyone is working towards completely different things.
