STARTER:
My Aunty went to the market
Play the game, each of the things she bought was a noun.
MAIN:
Definitions – Look at sheet with explanations of nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. Add
examples of each type of word to the sheet.
You will need 4 different coloured pens or pencils. Choose 1 pen and circle the word “noun” on the
sheet, using the same colour underline all the nouns in the sentences. Now choose another colour,
circle the word “verb” then underline all the verbs in that colour. Do the same for adjectives and
adverbs.
Adding adjectives and adverbs- this can improve your writing. Use the worksheet and make the
sentences more interesting
