AVSPACES CAD MANUAL DESIGN COMPONENTS NEW DESIGN 1. Locate the folder corresponding to the job you will be building. 2. Drag it to the finder side bar for easy access. 3. Within the folder you will see ‘Engineering’, ‘Project Management’, ‘Sales’. 4. In a new finder tab go to the ‘NEW PROJECT’ folder. 5. Highlight and copy all of the dwg’s you will need for your job. (NOTE: you will ALWAYS need “AV-100 Cover Sheet”, “AV-200 1ST Floor”*, “AV-30X AUDIO VISUAL DETAILS”, “AV-TTL-BLK”, x-legend, avspaceslogo.png, kaiserpermanente.jpg a. *RENAME to whatever number floor your are working with- eg: you are only showing a room on the 7th floor it will be AV-200 7th Floor. AV201 8th Floor, etc. b. If it is a larger (Kaiser) project with multiple floors and public square/exam room/any monitors using KP standards, we will need an Area of Work page for each floor, and Area of work legend. 6. You should have redlines, a quote, or at least a basic scope on smartsheet for the job. So you can also copy files such as Chatsworth, Plenum Box, Projector Mount, etc. 7. Back to the ‘WORKING’ folder in your current project, paste the files you just copied from new project. 8. Your WORKING folder should contain something like this a. AV-100 COVER SHEET.dwg b. AV-101 1st FLOOR - AREA OF WOR.dwg c. AV-200 1ST FLOOR.dwg d. AV-300 XX INCH MONITOR.dwg e. AV-301 AUDIO VISUAL DETAILS.dwg f. Av-ttl-blk.dwg g. X-LEGEND.dwg h. X-LEGEND_RCP.dwg 9. PROJECT MANAGER & COVER SHEET a. Open your AV-100 Cover Sheet Page. b. Go to File>New Project… And create a new project. Save it in your WORKING folder. You should now see your project manager window. To add your sheets to the project, right click on the window and select “Add New Layout From Drawing…” Then navigate to your WORKING folder and add your AV-100, 200’s and 300’s to the project. c. Now back to your COVER SHEET Paper Space. If this is a Kaiser project, leave KAISER PERMANENTE at the top center of your viewport, and 2 beneath it- change ‘job title’ to whatever the name of the project is (typically the name of the folder containing all of your files.) i. If it is not a Kaiser Project, then replace KAISER PERMANENTE with the name of the company, in addition to the ‘job title.’ Additionally you will want to delete the Kaiser logo (under the job title) and add the correct logo. 1. Add the .png to your WORKING folder. 2. Use CMD-7 to open your External Reference (X-Ref) Manager and similar to adding a Layout to your Project Manager, right click and “attach reference” to add your logo image to the drawing. Place it where the KP logo was. d. 10. TITLE BLOCK a. Select the green text on the right (or anywhere on your title block) and at the top of your window select “edit reference in place” and edit again on the next window. b. Under PROJECT NAME change MOB to your project title. (And Kaiser Permanente to the correct company if not a KP job.) c. Under CLIENT: change the address. d. Under REVISIONS: change the date to today’s. And leave AV DESIGN PROPOSAL. 3 e. Under PROJECT: change SP-XXXX if the job has an SP number (indicated by the folder name). Otherwise, if no P.O., leave this. f. Under DATE: change the date to today’s. g. Under DRAWN BY: put your name’s first and last initial. h. Under CHECKED BY: put your supervisor’s name’s first and last initial (RB/CS). 11. AV-200s - DEVICE PLANS 12. AV-200s - REFLECTIVE CEILEING PLANS 13. AV-200s – ELEVATIONS a. Begin with 14. The Audio Visual Details Page contains layouts of PAC Boxes, Speakers and Microphones used in the project. b. The starting file contains the 4 most common of these devices, so you will most often only need to remove and align/renumber the remaining. c.
