Online shopping is the process of buying good and services from merchants who sell
on the internet. Online shopping allows people to visit stores from the comfort of their house
with the power of internet. People nowadays prefer online shopping because it offers a lot of
advantages such as less time consuming, better prices and easy price comparisons.
First of all, online shopping is less time consuming. This is because we do not have
to waste our time on the busy road facing the traffic jam or looking for more available parking
lots at the shopping mall, just to buy a stuff. Instead of wasting time, we can just sit at home
in front of the computer or through the smartphones and buy stuffs online. Definitely, this will
be easier for working people who usually does not have much time to go to the shopping
mall.
The next point is, online shopping offers better prices. I believe that people who are
used to shop online, would agree with this point. This is because, shopping websites such
as ‘Shopee’ and ‘Lazada’ provide stuffs from various different country. For instance, stuffs
that are made from China are usually cheaper than the local one and they are all available
on the shopping websites. Although you need to wait for at least 2 weeks to receive the
item, but the price is way cheaper than the local one. Different people have different
opinion, but mine, I would rather wait than need to pay more for the same brand and quality.
My last point of view, online shopping is easy price comparisons. Why do I say this?
This is because, everything is at your fingertips. Instead of going to different shopping mall
just to compare the price, you can just search the same product brand from different
websites and you will get to know the price offers by the websites. Other than that, we can
also search for the cheapest shopping website for us to compare the price. Therefore, there
would be no reason like ‘online shopping is meant for rich people’ because you will definitely
get cheaper prices by shop online.
In a nutshell, as I mentioned above there are a lot of advantages of online shopping
such as less time consuming, better prices and easy price comparisons. However, we need
to take cautious about the transaction before we proceed with any payment. Online
shopping only will benefit us if we manage to use them wisely.
