Basically defamation has two types. The first is libel and the second is
Slander. Libel and slander are both defamatory forms. Libel is an untrue,
defamatory allegation written down. Slander is a false defamatory
statement spoken orally. The difference between defamation and
slandering is that any medium can make a defamatory statement. It could
be commented on in a blog or spoken in a speech or said on TV.
