Installation type – Grid connect, category 1 – PV with micro inverters Instructions A provisionally accredited person can only submit a practical assessment after successfully completing the online exams and receiving an Accreditation Number. The installation must have taken place after you have received your accreditation number and before provisional accreditation expiry. Work that was carried out prior to a provisional accreditation number being granted or after your provisional accreditation period has expired, will not be accepted. You must be the person who physically undertook the entire installation. Your name, accreditation number and signature shall be on all documentation e.g. Testing and commissioning sheet and Electrical certificate of compliance All photographs and supporting documentation must be from the same installation. Please note: You should submit one of your first installs showing your best work for assessment. We suggest a small system close to home in case you are asked to return to site for more information or rectification of non-compliant work. The Clean Energy Council has a 10MB limit on incoming emails, please be aware of this when submitting images. Please use this checklist below to ensure all the required information and photos are supplied. Insert photos into the checklist, which can be found on page 3 of this document. If providing information separate to the checklist, the photos must be named with the relevant reference (REF) code from the checklist. To speed up the process, please make sure that your writing is neat and easy to read, and that photos are in focus, so the details are clearly visible. About your accreditation Central to the Clean Energy Council's work with solar photovoltaic (PV) installers is an accreditation program we often refer to as the Solar Accreditation Scheme. Accreditation with the Clean Energy Council recognises electricians who have undertaken the necessary training to design and install solar, batteries and other renewable energy systems. Being Accredited with the Clean Energy Council makes you eligible to participate in government incentive schemes like the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES) and others. Part of the CEC’s role is to foster and help grow the renewable energy industry in Australia. It can only continue to grow if we maintain a high standard of quality and of personal, public and electrical safety. A copy of the CEC’s Terms and Conditions, Compliance Process and CPD information can be found in the CEC guidelines and online at cleanenergycouncil.org.au/industry/installers/compliance-toolkit. Practical assessment status When the assessor has had a look at your practical application, they will send you an email detailing whether it has been approved, needs more information or has been rejected. Approved: An applicant will be deemed capable when the assessor is satisfied that there is enough evidence to determine that the installation has been completed and is compliant with all current and relevant Australian Standards and CEC guidelines. Request for more information: An applicant will be required to supply more information and/or rectification of non-compliant work. Rejected: An application will be rejected in the following circumstances: The applicant has not submitted the correct information or in the format required to the technical assessor within the allocated time. The assessor will only request this information once and follow up with one reminder before issuing an “Intent to Reject” email. Failure to provide the correct technical information and evidence before the date listed in the “Intent to Reject” email may result in the application being rejected. The Assessor deems that the evidence provided shows a PV installation that may be mechanically or electrically un-safe and may cause physical harm to people or property. The assessor deems that the PV installation is in clear breach of Australian Standards or CEC guidelines. A rejected application will mean the applicant is no longer accredited with the CEC. The applicant will need to re-apply for a provisional accreditation but will not be accepted before a 12month period from the original date of the initial provisional application being approved.
