HIGHLIGHTS
We have offered for the supply of two no of 9.35 TPH, 68 kg/cm2(g)
Pressure, 495 ± 5 °C SH steam temperature WHRB Boiler.( For Gas Flow of
24000 Nm^3 /hr at 900 °C at the inlet of Radiant Chamber).
01.
The offered WHRB’S are of single drum, water tube natural circulation type and
designed to recover heat energy available in the sponge iron rotary kiln exhaust
gas.
02.
We have designed the WHRB considering the normal gas flow parameters as
furnished below and cooling the gas temperature upto 160°C at the outlet of
economizer and considering the feed water temperature of 126°C at the inlet of
economizer as per the data provided. Considering the same we can generate
the steam quantity to 9350 Kg/hr at 68 kg/cm2(g) pressure and 495±5°C SH
temperature from WHRB at MSSV outlet. Kindly note that the steam generation
indicated by us is gross steam generation.

We have not considered the hot gas ducting from ABC outlet to radiant chamber
inlet. The same will be in Ms Maruthi Ispat & Energy (P) Ltd scope.

We have not considered Deaerator & storage tank, LP Dosing and Boiler feed
pump in our scope. Our scope starts from the inlet of the Feed Control Station.
06.
We have provided retractable type soot blowers in superheater sections and
fixed type rotary soot blowers in evaporator and economizer sections.
The
steam for soot blower will be taken from the Primary superheater outlet header
for a short while. The necessary piping, valves and PRV are considered in our
scope of supply.
07.
We request you to provide civil column and operating floor at the elevation of
5.00 mtr, which is in Ms Maruthi Ispat & Energy (P) Ltd scope. Steel structures
above the concrete floor will be in our scope. We have not considered the civil
works in our scope. The loading data will be given for the equipment supplied
by RIBO.

Our boiler needs DM water for Hydrotest as per the feed water quality
requirement furnished vide Annexure-III. Hence customer has to provide the
same for Hydro testing of the boiler.

Kindly note that, we will supply the items / equipments as per the scope chart
which we have furnished vide Annexure-V. However any additional items which
are not specifically mentioned can be supplied at an additional cost.

The Design parameters furnished along with this offer are predictions only. It is
also liable for change during project execution without affecting the boiler’s
major parameters.

The following recommendations hold good for water tube boilers with drum pressure
from 61-100 Bar (a) where high purity feed water is available by the use of
demineralizer. It is recommended that demineralizer shall only be used for all chemical

Note:
1.
All the measurements of feed water shall be made at outlet economiser inlet.
2.
Oxygen can also be additionally measured at deaerator outlet to determine the
quantity of Na2So3 dozing.
3.
The recommended pH in feed water can be obtained by dozing ammonia
morpholine or any volatile amine. The concentration of volatile chemical in the
feed water should not exceed 1 ppm (expressed as ammonia).
4.
If the pH of boiler water falls below the recommended range, it will considerably
increase silica carryover in steam and hence suitable lower silica level should be
maintained in boiler water to maintain less than 0.02 ppm in steam leaving the
drum.
5.
The phosphate and pH are recommended in accordance with co-ordinated
phosphate curve to prevent presence of free hydroxide in boiler water. If the
recommended pH is consistently obtained phosphate residual can be maintained
near lower limits.
6.
Water levels in drum should be maintained within limits during all operational
modes, start-up, load fluctuation and normal operation.
7.
The alignment of drum internal should be checked and ensured to be in order at
least once every year.
8.
It is needless to emphasize that correct sampling accurate measurements with
the use of reliable instruments at adequate intervals and proper logging of
reading go a long way in ensuring trouble free operation of boilers.

data as required for all equipments in scope.
