1. In a lossless transmission line, the velocity of propagation is 2.5x108 m/s. Capacitance of
the line is 30pF/m. Find:
a) Inductance per meter of the line /1Mark
b) Phase constant at 100MHz. /2Marks
c) Characteristic impedance of the line. /2 Marks
2. A lossless TL has capacitance of 200pF/m and inductance of 0.5µH/m. It is excited with
sinusoidal source of frequency of 1 KHz. The magnitude of the voltage measured across
a 75Ω load is 100V.
Find the following:
a) The line characteristic impedance. ./2 Marks
b) The voltage reflection coefficient at load ./2 Marks
c) The phase velocity ./2 Marks
d) The wavelength. ./2 Marks
e) The line phase constant ./2 Marks
