advertisement
How to Set Up Zoom: There is a great Zoom instructional video on Youtube about how to install/use Zoom for students: “Zoom for
Kids: How to Set Up the Zoom App for Students and Parents” by Scattered Solutions. Keep in mind that we recommend using a
laptop or computer, when possible, for Zoom class to avoid lags/delays in music.
Please “join” the class 10 minutes before the official start time so everyone is ready to get started right on time!

Helpful Hints for Parents/Dancers:
Parents of Dancers ages 2-5 (or older): Parents should get involved in the classes! This is your chance to really have some fun with
your dancer. This will also help them feel comfortable and engaged in the class with you as an example. Siblings welcome, too!
To all Dancers and Parents ages 2+:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
Please be sure to clear a safe space for your dancer to move around. This could be in the garage, the living room, the
porch, whatever there is space to move!
We believe that the lag time with sound will be lessened if you can use a computer or laptop (as an alternative to an
ipad/phone).
Go to the three dots on the right upper hand corner of the picture box of the instructor and click “pin video” so that is the
main video you see during class.
When the class is ready to get started the teacher will “mute all”, so don’t worry about any background noise or
conversations being distracting to the class. We ask that you only “unmute” if the teacher asks you to.
We appreciate your patience as we navigate this new technology. We are learning more each day and know we will
continue to streamline this process. Hopefully we will back in the studios very soon.
In addition to these live Zoom classes, you will have 24/7 access to the YouTube Content we have rimed and posted. New
YouTube videos will be released every Monday.
a. We hope to record these zoom classes and post them in the future, as well!
Please be sure to follow us on Instagram and facebook at @dwatx as updates and new information is posted daily!
For older dancers, Instagram stories is the best place to check for additional supplemental classes (beyond CLI or Dancers
Workshop Youtube and Zoom classes). The dance community, worldwide, is providing incredible amounts of content and
classes. If you can’t check @dwatx stories regularly, we will try to also keep a list of supplemental classes offered here:
