The Hillside Café and Events Center will be the first restaurant and events
center in the Capital Town of Quirino, Cabarroguis. It consists of an open venue that will be flexible
for all kinds of occasion, a café or a restaurant that serves the customer trend’s products. It will be
constructed in Capitol Hills, San Marcos, Cabarroguis, Quirino, near the Orchidarium, Motocross
Hills, Sports Complex, Radio Quirino, Water sports Complex and the Susong Dalaga Mountain.
MARKET OPPORTUNITY
Our business will have the advantage of acquiring the tourists and visitors that
will visit the tourist spots near the area thus increasing our profit. Also, residents will have the
chance to try a new feeling or vibe of eating in a place where there are no noise pollution and
free of stress. Making our place newer than our two competitors, people might choose to go on
our business instead in those places.

MANAGEMENT
Hillside Café and Events Center was founded by Gino Paolo C. Iniego. Having years
of experience in engineering and photography the café and center gives you the foremost time
of your life in a restaurant. Giving you an affordable but classy feeling in the province, Electronics
Engineering and photography will traverse you in that aspect. By the technology design of the
place and free photographs by the award-winning photojournalist. Throughout the years of travel
and work abroad, ideas in having restaurants and an events center is greatly planned and
designed. With the help of the family members and friends, this business will make sure a customer
friendly and environment friendly place.

QUIRINO PLAZA HOTEL AND RESTAURANT
The Quirino Plaza Hotel and Restaurant offers a variety of
accommodation, but in terms of events place it is smaller than our proposed business. Restaurant is
not that their asset but in the accommodating the guests in where they sleep. The only advantage
is that it has a swimming pool that people can get into while our business offers a view of the
environment surrounding it.
ABRASA MPC HOTEL
The Abrasa MPC Hotel also offers a venue for events not only an
accommodation facility. Their disadvantage is that, it is located slightly far in the capitol area.
Also, their events place quite small compared to ours.
COMPANY’S COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE
The advantage of Hillside Café and Events Center to the other two competitors is that
we offer a price slightly the same as them but the customer can get more than that. Also, the

location of the place is much more conducive in having your meal because of the solemn vibe the
noise-free environment offers to the customers. The place where the business will be put up is the
place where tourist is being congested into. In that case, being in that place can get more customers
because of the population that will accumulate in there.

BUSINESS DESCRIPTION
Hillside Café and Events Center is a place where you can get affordable snacks, meals and
beverages at a scenery you knew only exists in movies. The events place offers you a majestic

venue for any type of celebration; Debut, Christening, Wedding Receptions, Birthday Parties and
many more. a package is also included to have a free video and photo coverage of the events
taking place. Guests who are also enjoying the feast at the café can also request for a free photo
at the sceneries and place itself.
The Hillside Café and Events Center was formed on November 30, 2019 because I, the
founder, observe the increase of tourist in our province. The increase in the discovery of natural
sceneries invites the increase of tourist. Near the proposed business are places you can visit before
or after going to the business site like the Orchidarium, Wakeboarding, Motocross Hills, Susong
Dalaga Mountain, Various of Waterfalls and many more. With only few competitors in the
province, I decided to build the business near the places with such a great number of visiting
tourists. My business will have a great advantage compare to my competitors because of my
business strategy that comes from strategic planning and fact-based decision making.

As the first line of strategy is the one that reaches many people in a single post, internet
marketing. Through social media, advertising and promoting will be done by making a Facebook
page, Instagram account and twitter account for the updates that will be done. The business shall
include making documentations of the entire surroundings of the place, the interior of the place
and products of the café. A guided graphics will be also added for the accessibility of the place
of how to get in the venue. A webpage will also be made for more interactive walkthrough in the
business area. Traditional advertisements will also by word of mouth through quality service,
posters and recommending approval of family and friends for a chain reaction advertising.

 Necessary qualifications:
The staffs or personnel must have at least a college or high school degree or
had undergone any vocational courses related to the work he/she is applying for. Also, NBI
clearance and police clearance are necessary for the safety and ease of all the people working
in the team.
 Job Description of each personnel:
 HEAD CHEF
-He/she must be the one who overlooks for the quality of the prepared food
and the coordination of the kitchen. He/she must address the sous chef and waiters with respect
for the greater communication of each person.

 SOUS CHEF
-He/she must assist the head chef at all times. If the head chef is not present,
they must be capable doing at least the same work as the head chef is doing. They must also be
the one who does the inventory for the supplies.
 WAITER
-He/she must deliver food to the customers fast but with extreme care for the
safety of the customers, himself/herself, the food and the dignity of the café.
 SECRETARY
-The secretary and the cashier must be working in sync for the financial reports
of the business. He/she must be recording all the transactions being done online and through phone
calls. Reports must be done by him/her at the end of every month for future uses or for some
improvements to be overlooked afterwards.
 CASHIER
-He/she must be the one who collects the money that has been given for
restaurant transactions. Daily records of sales must also be passed.
 MAINTENANCE OFFICER
-The maintenance officer will oversee all the equipment that will be used in the
business if it’s still working or it needs some repair. Also, the maintenance of the place will be done
by him/her.
 EVENTS CENTER OFFICERS
-They will be the one who will design and manage the events center for their
own expertise discretion. The transactions for the events place will be collaborated with them and
the secretary. Also, one of them will be a driver for some utility movements and events place
paraphernalia.
 COVERAGE PERSONNEL
-They will be the one will be doing photo and video coverages of the events
that will take place on the center. Also, one of them will be the one who will take photos at the
restaurant if a customer wants to.
 Wage and Hours of Work
Every personnel will work at least 7:30am – 8:00pm from Mondays to
Saturdays. Exemption during Sundays if there’s an event at the center. Wage for a day is
400pesos.
 Future Needs for Adding Employees
Adding employees will be in mind when the expansion of the business is in
place.

OVERVIEW AND GOALS OF MARKETING STRATEGY
The major strategy of the business is that, we have to utilize every resource we have
on the place to increase and have an efficient productivity. Not focusing on one strategy can make
the business be flexible in every circumstance. To pricing, work delegating, time management and
cooperation, with the mix of all of that aspect, the strategy might work. Also, as we administer an
environment friendly place, recycling and giving fast-decomposing utensils to the customers is one
of the key elements of the business.
MARKET ANALYSIS
 Target Market
Our main target market are the tourists that are visiting the nearby attractions in the
business. A nearby restaurant to those places will be a great factor for them because of the cool
ambience of the place good for relaxation and casual conversations. Also, the millennials are one
of the target markets because of the trend that they will be going to the business place to try new
environment in eating in a restaurant. But all in all, persons of all ages can go there to eat and
enjoy the venue.

The Capitol Plaza Hotel & Restaurant
(CPH&R) also known as the Coffeeshop is
one of the income-generating components
of the Economic Enterprise Office. It is
situated along the Provincial Road within the
vicinity of the Provincial Capitol, near the
Land Bank of the Philippines, Cabarroguis
Branch, with official address Capitol Hills, Cabarroguis, Quirino.
It has three phases, the first floor is composed of the restaurant, the small administrative
office, and the Social Hall for functions; the 2nd phase is where rooms are located, Rooms number
01 and 02 with amenities like air-condition, television (TV) set and two beds for two persons each,
with a rate per day of One Thousand Pesos (P1,000.00) 03 and 04 with air-condition, TV set and
a bed for two persons with a rate per day of Seven Hundred Fifty (750.00) pesos while rooms #
05, 06, and 07 with TV set and electric fans with a rate per day of Five Hundred (P500.00) pesos
respectively. An additional bed to each of the room is allowed with an additional rate of One
Hundred (P100.00) pesos. The Restaurant is open during office hours from 8 o’clock A.M to 5
o’clock P.M.. While the Hotel Accommodation is on reservation basis, and a confirmation is needed
at least three days before the date being reserved. Other services being served, including the
restaurant should be coordinated earlier or on a case to case basis.
One of its major disadvantages is that the building is old and the place is located amongst
the busiest road in the place, thus not creating a peaceful vibe into the visitors. Also, the restaurant
is not that class level for the tourist, but for the citizens, it Is fine.

 Abrasa MPC Hotel
The Abrasa MPC Hotel is located in the boundary of Brgy. Gundaway and the Capital
Town, due to its location, it is very well-known to travelers because it can be seen very easily. All
people who will go beyond the capital town of Quirino will able to see this hotel.
One of its major disadvantages is that it is also located in the busiest road of the place
because it is only beside of the national highway. Rooms are not that wide so guests are required
to squeeze into the rooms.
 Market Trends
In Quirino province, Gen Zs and Millennials has a taste of buying tea-based products and
some quick eating foods. Also, the vibe in the province is nature so a restaurant that is administering
environment-themed place will be visited to have that relaxation and extended feel of home.

Put in this section are the projected estimated costs of starting our business. The pricing for
every product will be based on the ratio that will be get in the competitors to match or have a
better cost plan.
METHOD OF SALES AND DISTRIBUTION
The method of sales in this business is that, a store will be built in a certain area near the
tourist spots in Cabarroguis, Quirino. Also, in the case of the tourists, a webpage will be made for
the more flexible accessibility of the business. Information like how to get in the business place will
be put in the webpage, information on what food is available on that day and what event is ongoing in that day of visit in the webpage. Accompanying the webpage, a Facebook page will
also be put, sharing information from the webpage to the Facebook page in terms of linking it
together so every update that will be made on the other will also be updated on the other.
PRICING
The pricing will be in terms of the demand and supply of a certain product in a certain
period of time. Also, if there are shipments needed for any product, a fee will be added onto that
product. Competitive pricing will also be administered, the ratio of our price to the prices of the
competitors will be computed so that the most efficient pricing will be made in our products. In the
pricing of the events center, it will dependent on the number of people and hours of stay in an
event, that, will dictate the price of the event that will be held in our events center. Also, discounts
will be considered during holidays and seasons when we have to empty our inventory to have a
new set a stock.

To have the most effective sales strategy, we have to focus on journey our business will be
making. The long-term process so that things will not be rushed every moment. Reciprocity will be
also considered to make a good relationship with the customers. In terms of the events center,
customers that often celebrate an event in our business will be guaranteed some discounts or
freebies and that will also apply to customers in the restaurant. In this time of fast-spreading of
information, a survey will be sent to customers every after they visit the business. The survey will
be through the Facebook page that will be made, this viral marketing is important to know the
further improvements the business might do in the next few seasons.
SALES INCENTIVES/PROMOTIONS
In the incentives and promotions, in the first 2-3 weeks of business, products might be all
discounted for the build-up of customers and also in the events center. Gift cards will also be
distributed for a limited time. Freebies will also be applied in the foods like a free hoodie, cap or
an umbrella depending on the weather. Samples will also be put outside the store to have an
initial experience of the business place. The events center will have a free food catered by the
business excluded on the catering service the customer will be renting on the first 5 customers.
