VOLUME SETTINGS
1. Really important. Apart from "Life" volume in sound3d plugin DO NOT CHANGE
ANY VOLUME since it is only made fot internal testing and could/will result in
soundpack not working/sounding correctly.
You can only change value in green box called "Life", which is by default is set to 0%.
Slider "Life" controls the new FA announcements, as well as passenger noise. We
recommend to start cold and dark at the gate/ramp with these at 0%, later when
you are ready to board the passengers, set it to 100%.
Passengers operations are described below, the old (original) passenger
announcements is also left intact and you can use it if you wish.
IF YOU WANT TO CONTROL THE VOLUME OF THE SOUND PACK, use your windows
Volume Mixer or external speakers volume control and set general volume slider to
your comfort. To be able to communicate in VATSIM/IVAO/PILOTEDGE, use two
separate devices, such as x-plane volume in your headphones and ATC in your
speakers or vice versa.
General x-plane volume settings are also should stay in 100% each, except "radios".
Radios could be at any volume you like.
POTENTIAL QUESTIONS
Q. My CDU buttons don't sound as well as Master warning, Master
Caution pushbuttons.
A. It is unable at this moment to make them have the sound, due to how
this model works, we tried. You could ask VMAX developers to make
datarefs that actually work next time.
Q. Some of my buttons, switches, selectors are really quiet.
A. Check your volume settings first as described above, in cold and dark
check these again, they all work and recorded from real 777, not all
selectors, buttons in this plane have a loud distinctive sound, some of
them are really quiet.
Q. My engine sound fades away with speed.
A. Yes in turbojet, turbofan aircraft fan sound does fade away with speed
due to how planet Earth physics and acoustics work.
Q. How to lower or gain my engine sounds?
A. Check the volume part of this manual, it all works in combination, we
removed the option to mess with engine sounds due to realism of this
sound pack.
Q. Is there a cargo/freoght variant?
A. Yes, it comes with extended, just don't use "Life" volume.
