Term Project Proposal Instructions: Complete each section and submit this form by the due date specified on the syllabus. 1. Team Information: Provide your team number and a list of team members. 2. Type of Project: State the type of project you are proposing (survey, descriptive study, demonstration or other) 3. Research Goal/Question(s): Describe your topic and overall research goal. State your research question(s). 4. Methodology or Objectives: Explain how you will accomplish your research goal. Surveys: Identify at least 2 categories into which the phenomenon you are surveying falls. Map each category to several references that will be used to describe the research falling into that category. Descriptive studies: Explain what empirical data you will collect, how you will collect it, and what analysis you will perform on the data. Demonstration projects: Describe the system you will build in terms of specific hardware and software components, how the demonstration will be conducted, and what results you expect. “Other” type projects: Describe the methodology you will use and the results you expect. Explain how your methodology will accomplish your research goal. 5. Expected Contribution/Significance: Explain the contribution your project will make to the field of Information Security. 6. Initial References: Provide a list of at least 15 initial references, at least 10 of which are academic conference or journal papers. Ensure that you use the IEEE bibliographic format.
