It has been called as white ant and a silent destroyer because of the ability to infests infrastructures, houses and furniture’s that are made of wood. It consumes cellulose – based plant materials, which all houses with their construction type, many provide termites cellulose food for their infestation. The termites are also major agricultural pest as they attack other plants and they build their mound making of difficult for the farmers to do the field activities specially to operate farming machinery. In order to treat termite infestation effectively, they will use commercial termite pesticide necessary. But it contains hazardous and venomous chemical they can affect children and also the environment and the same time it cost expensively. Calamansi is a green, small and round citrus fruit. It extracts can be a pesticide that can kill the ant and other insects. The calamansi is kind of citrus fruit. This calamansi rind extract (citrofortunella microcarpa) alternative as a pesticide is not affect to children and the many farmers. The study of calamansi rind extract as an alternative pesticide has important implication in solving a problem or need of the peole specifically those simple households against termites, and ants infestation which can cause severe damage to the houses as they feed primarily on woods and for austerity measures. Likewise, pesticides from calamansi rind extract has a strong socioeconomics impact to household because it will provide them with a low cost all-natural pesticide. The study will be confined mainly on termites, since pesticides feed on the woods and furniture when they infest inside the houses which can render the damages of the structures unlivable. Statement of the problem 1. What is the mean of mortality rate of termites using different concentration of calamansi rind extract (experimental group) and commercial group (control group)? 2. Which pesticide is more effective, calamansi rind extract or commercial pesticide? 3. What are the benefit of calamansi rind extract? Scope and Delimitation This study calamansi rind extract (citrofurtunella microcarpa) as an pesticide. This researchers experiment will be conducted in Talugtug National High School-Annex Saverona, Talugtug, Nueva Ecija School Year 2019-2020. The researchers will be conducting a study with the use of observation.
