Assignment Sheet for Chapter 04 Lesson Plan and Activity for Movement, Music and Dance Due October 10 Valued at 50 points: Written lesson plan is 25 points; Presentation is 25 points Direction Overview: Plan a Movement Activity according to the following directions using Chapter 04 PowerPoint presentation listed on Canvas under Module 1 and your textbook Goal: You are to create or find a locomotion, movement, music, or dance activity with or without music that uses 2 or more of the 8 locomotor skills. Create the activity using the format listed below and bring the hard copy to class for you to lead the class in doing the activity. o Locomotor Skills that you can use are on Slides 4-8 and Slides 13 and 17. You may use Textbook pages 141-144 also. o Teaching a Song - If you decide to teach a song, identify the song using APA format. For teaching a song use slides 21-22. o For musical instruments see slide 26 and textbook page 153 Direction Notes 1. This is one of the activities that you can do for your Lab Experience, but on October 10 you will demonstrate this movement activity with the class. Make sure to bring all the materials to class that you will need to do this activity. In class, we follow your directions to the activity. Afterward, you will turn the hard copy into the professor for a grade. 2. This movement activity lesson will need to be 5-10 minutes long in the classroom setting. Make sure you are organized in presentation. 3. If you are using a song, you will not need to use the whole song. Cite the music on reference page 4. Identify how many children at one setting that would be appropriate for this lesson. Materials and Music - List all materials needed. If you use a song, make sure you cite it in APA and properly identify the music and singer and bring the music with you. Procedure - Give a step-by-step listing of the procedure.
