TEACHING NOTES
PREP: Print off each page as needed. For repeated use
laminate & use with dry erase markers.
HOW TO USE:
1) Color the long vowel pattern in the top right corner,
learning how it sounds and saying it over while coloring.
2) Circle the words on the top left that use that long vowel
pattern. Look closely at the letters to decide, but also try
and sound them out to hear the differences.
3) Trace over the words below the pictures while saying the
words and thinking about the sounds.
4) Trace the words in the lines below and then write each
word once or twice more.
5) Circle the beginning letters on the alphabet strip at the
bottom to work out their alphabetical order, then write
the words in the 3 boxes below.
