Up in or into the air; overhead. B. Our kites aloft. I. Summary of the Story Elements of a Prose 1.) Settings Places - Le-Metru - Ga-Metru - Metru Nui -Ka-Metru -Ta-Metru Time -Era of Metro Nui 2.) Characters - Vakama - Toa of Fire,the leader of their team. - Matau – Toa of Wind. - Nuju – Toa of Ice. - Whenua – Toa of Earth. - Nokama – Toa of Water. - Onewa – Toa of Stone. - Norik – A Rahaga who helped the Toas to guide and save the Matorans. - Gaaki,Bomonga,Kualus,Pouks and Iruini – Are the bizzare-looking companions of Norik that helped the Toas too. - Sidorak – The king of the Visorak hordes. - Roodaka – The soon-to-be queen of the Visorak horde and tries to destroy the seal of Makuta,and tries to capture the Elemental Toas. 2.) Plot A. Expostion - The Toas landed to the shores of Le-Metru from their broken ship Lhikan-II,they explore the Metru Nui and it seemed that it was badly damaged from what happened by a huge earthquake,and as they look around,they completely see large thick webs and darkness. B. Rising Action - When Vakama changed him by his anger and sadness that led him to join Roodaka and Sidorak and his hordes to take a revenge to his fellow Toas that he thinks that they are his enemies now. C. Climax - The Toas fought at the Coliseum,while Matau and Vakama are on a duel,like a brotherto-brother fight,Vakama threw Matau at the edge of the cliff,but fortunately,Matau has still a grip on the wall of he cliff,but Vakama is trying to let Matau fell from the cliff as he strongly steps on Matau’s hands. D. Falling Action/Denouement - Because of Matau’s words,Vakama snapped out back to his original senses,and they went back to the Coliseum.With the combined powers of the Elemental Toa,they shoot their Rhoutuka spinner all at once to shoot at Roodaka,killing her and turning into a crystal stone. E. Resolution - Keetongu transforms the Toa back to their original appearance as they wish to,and they finally saved their fellow Matorans who was caged at the Coliseum,now they are taking the Matorans to their ships to return them at their home.And finally,Vakama bit a farewell to Norik and Keetongu and thanked them for helping them to save the Matorans,afterwards,they departed from Metro Nui. 4.) Conflict - When Vakama misunderstands the other Toa,he thinks that they blame Vakama for what happened to them.So he gained pure and anger and revenge within him and he wanted to prove that he can save the Matorans all by himself,without the help of his team. 5.) Symbolism - As the Symbolism of the story,I chose the Visorak.Visorak,why?because the Visoraks are all the reason of the story,the Visorak is the one who ravaged the city of Metru Nui and turned it into a place of full of webs and shadows,as the book’s title was.Visorak is the one who made the Toas transforms into a monster-toa or an Hordika,and it’s the reason of their huge conflict,that it worsens their relationships as a team.And lastly,Visoraks are the main enemies of the story,that almost every single scene of the story,there are the Toas fighting another Visorak. 6.) Theme - LEADERSHIP,because the story also talks about the proper leading and guiding your members or other people.The main character,Vakama,is the standing leader of their team,the story somewhat focuses to Vakama to look how he progresses up and withstand those problems and challenges and continue providing plans and guide his team.But sadly his anger consumes him,the reason are his thoughts that he is a failure leader.But upon hearing Matau’s words,as his member and a brother,he recovers back to normal,because for him hearing duties reminds of true him,because he is the leader of their team,strict,always have a plan,and strong,because that’s how a true leader is. II. Reflection -The story teaches us about leadership,as what I have said to the theme of the story,be persevere and determined to accomplish the tasks,and when leading,don’t let anger or negative thoughts eat you,stay postive and let other members tell their opinions and thoughts,because that’s what happened to Vakama,he let his anger and revenge consumes him,and it results into a worse situation of their team,but what did he do is to let one of his members say about it,to be clear and to prevent misunderstandings,and what happened is that Vakama turns out to be okay and the team’s finally back to normal as it should be,to accomplish their important task.And it greatly applies to the real life,not to only to the standing leaders of their team or group,but you can also apply it to your everyday life to accomplish one’s task in ease. III. Recommendation -I would happily recommend this story because if you want those heroic story that focuses in leaderships and teams to vanish the evil,well this is a story for you.But I more recommend that you should read the very first book of Bionicle to the last,because this is a series story,it involves many stories and has a very cool storylines and there are also more books about it,and a movie too!But about the story,it is very enjoying to read,because it involves the perfect combination of moods in the story,such as comedy,tragic and it also gives you goosebumps by those awesome fight scenes!It can be readable for childrens,because it was made with the Lego company,the series Bionicle is one of the Lego’s toy products.
