Please Review Assignment 14-1: Professional Portfolio The Professional Portfolio as a tool for highlighting your professional (and personal) accomplishments.This tool can be useful during an employment search, a performance review, salary negotiation or application for promotion, as a way to market yourself and/or your business, or for other purposes. You will develop and design your own Professional Portfolio through formal assignment during the Capstone I and II courses, with completion in the final semester during the Capstone Project course. You will determine what you would like to highlight, as this should be personal to you. There are sample portfolios to view from graduates of the ppOTD program and you may also search the Internet as there are many excellent professional OT portfolios available. You are welcome to use a software package of your choice such as Wix, Weebly or another resource you find to build your portfolio. Students do not have to pay for a platform. There are free sites that are available to the pubic, but you may use any site that is conducive to the assignment. Assignment Instructions for this semester (during Capstone I): 1. Begin with choosing the platform that will house your Professional Portfolio (wix, Weebly, other). 2. Develop a draft of your Introduction Introduction to you: Write a short (one or two-paragraph) introduction to YOU that offers the reader a sense of you as a person as well as your professional history. This section should be no more than 200 words. Remember to introduce yourself in a professional manner. This should grab the reader’s attention and make the reader want to know more about you. You may wish to include pictures but this should not be a predominant feature. 3.
